                       Modern technology 's effects on personal relationships


Nowaday, modern technology play an important role in our life which no one can deny . We can find its effects on every field of life including advantages and disadvantages . Clearly ,our personal relationships are also influent more and more.

On the one hand,we receive a lot of benefit from technology in keeping and building our personal relationship. Fristly, thanks to technology ,we can keep in touch with others easilier and more regularly . For example , in the past ,it was time when telephones didn't exist ,if we want to know how someone is ,we must write letters and wait many days for the answers, sometimes ,they may be lost . In contrast ,now almost everyone has a cellphone and every house has a telephone ,If we want to talk to someone ,just make a call ,we will hear their voice as if they sit beside us . Secondly, with the development of technology ,we can make friends with people from every where notonly in our own country but also in the world . For instance ,with a computer is accessed to internet , a Vietnamese can eventually make friend with a American through facebook ,yahoo or gmail. Another example is that people who are born in the same town can meet easily in internet community and seek acquaintance with each other ,chat and talk . Moder technology helps human notonly build relationships but also remain them better. Thanks to it ,we can find sympathy among people ,which make us closer regardless of where and who we are.

On the other hand ,modern technology also bring us some disadvantages on our personal relationships ,if we depend on it too much . The first point is that if we take advantages strongly of technology . Gradually , our relationships will become less and less profound , close relationships and normal relationships are not very much different . For example, alot of people use facebook to make friends and keep in touch with each other . In her or his birthday , he or she receive many wishes like "happy birthday" from his or her friend on facebook thanks to reminder of facebook 's function . Therefore we don't need to remember any more ,but it makes close friends and stranger are the same ,which makes our relationships aren't as deep as before. Besides ,because of modern technology sometimes we may feel our personal lifes are invaded . For instance , sometimes ,we are tired and want to relax and be alone ,but cellphones can't help ringing ,which bother us so much and really annoyed . The disadvantages of modern technology are things we can foresee so be sure that we control these gadgets and not other way around .

Modern technology has both good and bad effects on our personal relationships . However ,knowning how to balance and make relationships better is intelligent users.
